Google Commercial Contract Manager, Google Cloud in Hong Kong

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in agreement consultation and management or executive sales at a technology company.

  • Experience in agreement negotiations for IT sector products and services, agreement drafting, C-level stakeholder management, and working directly with customers.

  • Ability to communicate in English and Chinese fluently in order to draft legal agreements and communicate with clients from Greater China.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in developing complex agreement structures and drafting agreements on the unique legal requirements.

  • Experience negotiating enterprise agreements and project management of a contract with customers and cross-functional internal business partners.

  • Experience solving customer concerns with education, deployment of common fallbacks, or bespoke drafting.

  • Excellent project management and problem solving skills, with the ability to present findings and lead multiple time-sensitive projects.

  • Excellent business acumen, communication, influencing, and complex objection handling skills.

Your strategies ensure that companies new to Google products get the highest quality customer support and that the Google Cloud program overall is kept on the cutting edge.

As a Commercial Manager for Google Cloud, you will serve as a strategic business partner to Field Sales, managing consultation and accelerating agreement timelines while mitigating commercial and agreement risk across all Google Cloud products. You will ensure that customers’ needs are addressed while minimizing risk and operational impact, and you will build and maintain relationships with Sales, internal cross-functional teams, and customer consultants.

  • Partner with Field Sales teams early in the business cycle to drive proposal development and to shape large, strategic, enterprise agreements. Manage the consultation and execution of agreements and coordinate the preparation of responses to requests for information, proposals, or quotations. Review and prepare contract redlines, using custom language and fallbacks as appropriate.

  • Engage directly with enterprise/select customers to lead commercial and contractual consultations, independently handle objections, socialize customer requests with internal stakeholders, and coordinate approvals. Act as an escalation point for resolving in-scope issues.

  • Provide strategic stewardship on agreement negotiations to all external and internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales Leadership, Global Business Practices, Legal, Finance, and Product Development).

  • Introduce prospective customers to cloud concepts, norms and industry standards. Draft term sheets and provide customer facing analysis demonstrating the value of the Google solution.
