About the Opportunity

Enterprise Telemetry has an immediate opening for Event Management Engineer position to implement event management requests and onboard customers for Cloud, Colo and on-prem environments.

What You Will Do:

Enterprise Telemetry and Logging provides end-to-end observability capabilities for FRS applications hosted in Cloud, Colo and on-prem. We work with state-of-the-art technologies that are part of the next generation monitoring and logging ecosystem, which includes Dynatrace, AWS Native Monitoring Services, Grafana & Enterprise Logging. You will work cross-functionally with Product Owners, Architects, Design Engineers, Developers and Business Analysts in a rapidly evolving environment to make this happen.

Qualifications:

Netcool/Omnibus AIOps Requirements:

  • Experience in Netcool Omnibus, Probes, Gateways, Netcool/Impact, ITNM, AIOps installation, configuration, and deployment.

  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining Netcool Omnibus and Cloud Pak for AIOps multi-tiered architecture environment.

  • Experience working on event correlation, event seasonality, runbook automations, metric anomaly detection, log anomaly detection.

  • Knowledge of cloud computing, containerization (e.g., Docker), Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.

  • Experience working on RedHat OpenShift Container platforms.

  • Knowledge of at least one programming language: python, PHP, javascript, java, perl

  • Experience with HTML5 and building user interfaces

Migration from On-Prem to Colo Requirements:

  • Hands-on experiencing in Netcool Omnibus -> Netcool Cloud Pak for AIOps migration efforts.

  • Experience with data center migrations, cloud migrations, or colocation (colo) migrations.

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security policies.

  • Familiarity with virtualization (e.g., VMware), storage, and backup/recovery.

  • Knowledge of cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Experience with migration tools and techniques (e.g., lift-and-shift, re-architecture).

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN systems

  • Thorough knowledge of Linux operating systems.

  • Knowledge of change control and code repositories

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills required to effectively participate in projects Strong verbal and written communications skills required in order to interact with team members make recommendations and report findings to peers, management and customers. Candidate must encourage collaboration.

  • Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and DevOps practices.

  • Experience with agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Netcool AIOps in a cloud or colo environment.

  • Knowledge of container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.

  • The hiring range is $110,200 – $151,580 annually.

  • For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.

  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
