The S&OP, Demand Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in synchronizing demand with operational capabilities to optimize inventory levels and enhance customer service levels. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; developing a quarterly Consensus driven Demand Plan; supports driving the S&OP monthly process; managing and monitoring the Global Supply Chain inventory levels; and tracking and reporting on the supply chain performance through KPIs. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining various reporting dashboards, utilizing data visualization to highlight the health of the supply chain. Collaboration across all departments and regions in Drew Marine is key to the success of this role. This is a Global position with no direct reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consensus Demand Planning:

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales inputs.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to gather insights and inputs for demand forecasting.

  • Utilize demand planning software and statistical models to generate accurate demand forecasts at various levels of granularity (product, region, customer, etc.).

  • Continuously monitor and refine demand forecasts to incorporate new information and improve forecast accuracy.

  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):

  • Support and engage in cross-functional S&OP meetings to review demand forecasts, inventory levels, and other key metrics.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to develop feasible supply plans that meet demand while optimizing resource utilization.

  • Identify and escalate potential supply-demand imbalances and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of forecast errors, service level gaps (On Time In Full, OTIF), and inventory discrepancies to drive continuous improvement.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Develop and monitor Dashboard and Reporting (Power BI) on Inventory levels across the supply chain, identifying excess and/or shortage risks.

  • Monitor inventory performance metrics (Days in Inventory, Months of Coverage, Turns), flagging risks.

  • Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning, S&OP, and inventory management.

  • Prepare and present reporting dashboards (Power BI) to senior management, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, S&OP, or supply chain management, preferably in a managerial role.

  • Proficiency in demand planning tools (JDE) and statistics.

  • In depth experience and understanding of Data Analytic and Engineering tools (Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, SQL, Snowflake).

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making; ability to work effectively in a global organization.

  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices, inventory management principles, and forecasting techniques.

Physical Working Environment:

The position works mostly in a climate-controlled office environment, however field observations as well as possible (up to 20%) domestic and international may be required as needed.
